Importance Of Unit Test/What is Unit Test?

The unit test is known as “Ekam Kasoti” in Gujarati. The unit test is also often referred to as PAT. The full name of PAT is Periodical Assessment Test. PAT is called Samayik Mulyankan Kasoti in Gujarati.
The unit test is the question paper. In which question papers are prepared by expert teachers according to the chapter in each subject in the textbook.
The unit test is very useful for continuous assessment of the student. After checking this unit test by the teacher, the child is given the remedial task of finding the defect in which chapter and in which topic. The teacher has to enter the marks of this unit test online within the specified time through the application “SaralData” of Gujarat Education Department. Information About Forth Unit Test for students of Std. 3 to 8 in the month of October
Periodic assessment test was conducted for students of standard 3 to 8 in each medium in primary schools in July, August and September for the purpose of assessment with homework during covid -19. You are requested to take further action from your level in view of the following matters regarding the test to be taken in the month of October.
Environmental (Paryavaran) tests will be taken in standard 3 and 4 in the month of October.
Environment and mathematics will be tested in standard 5
While in standard 6 to 8 maths, science and social science subjects will be taken.
The above periodic assessment tests will be held from 26th to 28th October.
Tests in hardcopy or softcopy should reach the students by 25/10/2020.
All medium tests will be made available on GCERT website (www.gcert.gujarat.gov.in) on 23/10/2020.
As well as Gujarati medium test which can also be seen in the QR code on the textbook index of that subject.
The above tests are expected to be written by the student from home under the supervision of the parent at the convenience of the parent and the student.
It is desirable that students take the test in a fear-free and stress-free environment as the purpose of the test is to know the student’s progress.
It is desirable that the answer book of the test be delivered to the school through the guardian by 25/11/20.
The test will be prepared keeping in view the learning outcome. A copy of the test syllabus is attached herewith.

Information About September 2020 (Third) Unit Test for std 3 to 8
According to the above topic and context, periodic assessment test was conducted in July and August for the students of Std. 3 to 8 in each medium in the primary schools for the purpose of assessment with Home Learning during COVID-19 period.
You are requested to take further action from your level in view of the following matters regarding the test to be taken in the month of September.
Gujarati and Maths tests will be taken in Std. 3 and 4.
Gujarati, English and Hindi will be tested in standard 5.
While in Std. 6 to 8 Gujarati, English, Hindi and Sanskrit subjects will be tested.
It should be noted here that as per the resolution dated 12-02-2020 of the education department, similar tests have to be taken in Gujarati (first language), mathematics, social science and science subjects. This time self-reliant and grant-aided schools can voluntarily take tests in subjects that are in addition to these four subjects.
The above periodic assessment tests will be held from 26th to 30th September. Tests in hardcopy or soft copy should reach the students by 25/09/2020.
Unit tests of all mediums will be made available on GCERT website (www.gcert.gujarat.gov.in) on date 25/09/2020 as well as Gujarati medium tests which can also be seen in the QR Code on the textbook index of that subject.

Wherever there is a test of Gujarati in Gujarati medium, the first language test of that medium will be taken in other medium.
Wherever there is a test of Hindi in Gujarati medium, Gujarati (second language) will be tested in Hindi medium.
Where English medium is tested in Gujarati medium, Gujarati medium (second language) will be tested in English medium.
The test will be prepared keeping in view the learning outcome. The syllabus taken in the month of July in the Gujarati and Mathematics subject test will not be included in the September test. A copy of the test syllabus is attached herewith.

Information About August 2020 Unit Test
covid-19 Various home learning efforts have been undertaken by the Education Department of the Government of Gujarat to ensure continuity of education even in case of closure of schools during the epidemic. Educational programs for students of standard 9 to 12 can be viewed on DD Girnar channel, Vande Gujarat channel and the board’s youtube channel. As well as virtual classrooms of many schools are also run.
Continuous assessment is part of the study-teaching process. On the basis of which remedial teaching can be done by knowing the raw material of the students. The unit test is not a formal exam. But is part of a continuous evaluation. Based on the results of the unit test, besides the teachers, the parents can also give the necessary guidance by knowing the raw material of their children. In addition to therapeutic education through unit testing, one of the objectives is to make necessary changes under home learning programs.
In this regard (Unit Test August), further action should be taken keeping in view the following matters.
