 In order to maintain social harmony in the State of Gujarat, the economically weaker sections deprived of development benefits among the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and other castes other than the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBCs) who are known as Non-Reserved Classes. The Gujarat State Commission for Non-Reserved Classes has been constituted by the Government of Gujarat with the notification dated 5/10/2017 for the solution and welfare of class problems.

 The Commission, in consultation with the leaders / institutions / educational institutions of the non-reserved classes regarding the need, sufferings and difficulties of the non-reserved classes, has made efforts to make recommendations to the government for its corresponding schemes and to implement them.

 The State Government has constituted Gujarat Non-Reserved Educational and Economic Development Corporation to implement five schemes of assistance for non-reserved class people and four schemes of credit. This information booklet has been compiled by various departments of the State Government and the Central Government with the objective of providing information on community oriented schemes to the needy and through which the citizens get maximum benefit of the schemes. It also outlines what documents will be required for various schemes.

 Of course for basic information of any scheme it is necessary to contact the office or board or corporation under the concerned government department.
