Circular regarding the planning of periodic tests for students of Std. 3 to 8 in the month of December.

 In the first semester of July, August, September and October, periodic assessment tests of academic subjects for students of Std.  You are requested to take further action from your level in view of the following matters regarding the routine test to be taken in the month of December.

Gujarati (first language) and mathematics test will be held in standard 3 to 8 in the month of December.

The above periodic assessment tests will be conducted on 30/12/2020 and 31/12/2020.

 By 29/12/2020, the test should reach the students in hardcopy or softcopy.

 On 29/12/2020, all the medium tests will be made available on the GCERT website (www.gcert.gujarat.gov.in) as well as the Gujarati medium tests which can also be obtained from the QR Code on the textbook index of that subject.

 The above tests are expected to be written by the student from home under the supervision of the parent at the convenience of the parent and the student.  It is desirable that students take the test in a fear-free and stress-free environment as the purpose of the test is to know the student’s progress.

 It is desirable that the test answer books be delivered to the school through the guardian by 6/1/2021.

 Elementary schools that have announced a Christmas vacation will be able to change the dates of this test.  These schools will have to organize the test in such a way that the answer scripts of the test will be returned to the school by 6/1/2021.

Tests will be prepared keeping in view the learning outcome.

Regarding the planning of the fifth (December) unit test Solution (Std. 9 to Std. 12 English Medium/Gujarati Medium)

 Various Home Learning Efforts have been undertaken by the Education Department of the State Government to ensure that students can get education even when schools are closed during the epidemic of covid19 and to maintain continuity in studies.  For which unit test is organized for the students of standard 9 to standard 12 at the end of every month.  The following instructions should be considered for the 5th (December) unit test of Std. 9 and Std. 10 to be held in December 2020.

 Instructions:

The unit test of standard 09 to 12 Gujarati & English Medium  will be held from 28 December 2020 to 02 January 2021.

The unit test question papers should be delivered to the students in hard or soft copy by 11:00 am on 28/12/2020.

The syllabus of the fifth unit test will be available till October and November.  Details of the subject and syllabus are given in the enclosure.

The unit test will be organized on the basis of the textbook published by Gujarat State School Textbook Board.

The unit test question papers will be sent to the District Education Officer from the e-mail address of the office here on 22/12/2020 to your official and confidential e-mail address.  The password will be sent along with the password that is protected.

The District Education Officer should send the unit test question papers on 22/12/2020 to the official and confidential e-mail address of all SVS / QDC conveners of the district.

The SVS / QDS Convener will have to send the unit test question papers to the principals of all the private / granted government secondary / higher secondary schools in their campus on 23/12/2020 at their official and confidential e-mail address.

The principal has to deliver both the relevant question papers in soft copy or hard copy to all the students at 11:00 am on 28/12/2020.

In the above chain …. GSHSEB → DEO → SVS / QDC Convener → Principal will have to use a separate E-mail Address for unit test in each stage.

The unit test question papers will also be posted on the Board’s website www.gseb.org on 28/12/2020.  So that students / parents can easily get question papers.

The principal will have to give the necessary instructions to the students to write the answers of the unit test of both the subjects in a separate notebook made at their convenience by themselves by 02/01/2021, self-disciplined, from home under the supervision of the guardian.

The answers written by the student in the notebook should be delivered in soft copy or hard copy to the principal of the school by 6/1/2021.  Instruct parents / students who cannot come to school to send in soft copy.

Considering the situation of covid 19, for planning planning, notebook acceptance and evaluation and other guidance, the instructions given in the letter dated 28/7/2020 and 13/8/2020 of this office should be planned.
