Regarding the planning of the fifth (December) unit test std 12 Science Stream

Various Home Learning Efforts have been undertaken by the Education Department of the State Government to ensure that students can get education even when schools are closed during the epidemic of covid19 and to maintain continuity in studies.  For which unit test is organized for the students of standard 12 at the end of every month.  The following instructions should be considered for the 5th (December) unit test of Std. 9 and Std. 10 to be held in December 2020.

 Instructions:

The unit test of standard 09 to 12 will be held from 28 December 2020 to 02 January 2021.

The unit test question papers should be delivered to the students in hard or soft copy by 11:00 am on 28/12/2020.

The syllabus of the fifth unit test will be available till October and November.  Details of the subject and syllabus are given in the enclosure.

The unit test will be organized on the basis of the textbook published by Gujarat State School Textbook Board.

The unit test question papers will be sent to the District Education Officer from the e-mail address of the office here on 22/12/2020 to your official and confidential e-mail address.  The password will be sent along with the password that is protected.

The District Education Officer should send the unit test question papers on 22/12/2020 to the official and confidential e-mail address of all SVS / QDC conveners of the district.

The SVS / QDS Convener will have to send the unit test question papers to the principals of all the private / granted government secondary / higher secondary schools in their campus on 23/12/2020 at their official and confidential e-mail address.

The principal has to deliver both the relevant question papers in soft copy or hard copy to all the students at 11:00 am on 28/12/2020.

The unit test question papers will also be posted on the Board’s website www.gseb.org on 28/12/2020.  So that students / parents can easily get question papers.

The principal will have to give the necessary instructions to the students to write the answers of the unit test of both the subjects in a separate notebook made at their convenience by themselves by 02/01/2021, self-disciplined, from home under the supervision of the guardian.

The answers written by the student in the notebook should be delivered in soft copy or hard copy to the principal of the school by 6/1/2021.  Instruct parents / students who cannot come to school to send in soft copy.

Considering the situation of covid 19, for planning planning, notebook acceptance and evaluation and other guidance, the instructions given in the letter dated 28/7/2020 and 13/8/2020 of this office should be planned.

The subjects and syllabus for the fifth unit test will be as shown in the enclosure.

 Note: – Issues excluded from the syllabus for the current year by the Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will not be asked in the unit test.

 

Note: – As per the resolution dated 12/02/2020 of the Education Department, Gujarati, Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences in Std. 9 and Std. 10 while Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as well as Std. 11 and Std 12.  For general stream English, Nama Basics, Commercial Management, Psychology, Economics and Statistics unit test question papers are to be prepared from board level.  Apart from this, it is desirable that standard and subject question papers be prepared by the school and unit test be taken at the school level.

Importance Of Unit Test/What is Unit Test?

Students of Std. 12 are also given a booklet ‘Let’s learn at home’ every month. Many schools also run virtual classrooms. Apart from this, educational programs can also be watched on Vande Gujarat channel and YouTube channel.

According to the Department of Education, continuous assessment is part of the teaching-learning process. On the basis of which remedial teaching can be done by knowing the raw material of the student. This unit test is not a formal examination, but is part of a continuous assessment. Based on the results of this test, besides the teacher, educated parents can also give necessary guidance by knowing the raw material of their children. In addition to this therapeutic education, one of the objectives is to make the necessary changes under ‘Home Learning Programs’.
