Students will be able to do free courses on the portal itself, get a certificate from MHRD
Top faculties of the country including IITs and IIMs have launched an online portal for free through MHRDA and AICTE. Free learning courses at school, college and university level have been started through the portal called Swayam.
Students will now be able to pursue their Certificate, Diploma and PG Diploma without taking admission in institutes like IIM, IIT and IGNOU through Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (Self) portal www.swayam.gov.in. About 200 courses have been uploaded on the engineer and non-engineer portals so far. Atal Bihari Vajpayee University and Saurashtra University will also design courses for the portal and transfer the university’s syllabus to e-content. Some online courses of Isaac University will also be brought on the portal itself.
Missed to connect with the portal University | Registrar Dhiren Pandya said that Saurashtra University has also joined the portal and it is planned to provide information about its courses to the students through the computer center if they need it.
Courses can be combined through the app
The portal will have video lectures, studies, assessment materials. Apart from the portal, the course can also be joined through the app. Until now students have been taking courses to keep themselves updated through the Index Foreign Massive Open Online Course (MOOC).
The university will generate e-content
Various courses are available for students on the self portal. Saurashtra University will soon be launching online courses on its own portal. It will be decided in the near future to place some certificate courses, how many diplomas and PG diplomas on the course site.
Thousands of students will benefit from the job
The course will benefit thousands of students who want to study and earn a living as well as earn a living because of the self-portal. Because everything from registration in the course to the course fee is free. If you want to get a certificate after completing the course, you will be given a certificate by the Ministry of Human Resource Development and AICTE.
Some special types of courses
Health Research, Nice Management and Control, Technical English for Engineer, Soft Skills Courses, Human Resource Management, Privacy and Security in Social Media, Animal Psychology, Internet of Things, Patent Law, Customer Relation.
Education Portal launched by the Ministry, students from Std. 9 to PG will be able to choose the course, so far 200 courses have been uploaded.
