GUJARAT BUDGET SPEECH 2020-21 FINANCE MINISTER
The Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Nitinbhai Patel today introduced the 2020 Budget in which the farmers of the state receive short-term crop financing of around Rs 4,000 crore every year through cooperative and nationalized bank, whose full interest is paid to the bank by the state government and the central government. Farmers of Gujarat get zero percent interest rate ie interest-free crop financing for which We have announced the provision of crores. In addition to the provision of Rs. 5 crores for various projects in agriculture and allied sectors under the National Agricultural Development Scheme, I am pleased to announce the Chief Minister’s Crop Collection Scheme to prevent loss of crop after the production of deficient rainfall, heavy rainfall, and other factors. Under the scheme, farmers will be offered a small Godown store Rs. 3,000 per unit will be provided for the production of the same character. It will be exempted from the approval for the construction of such a structure for which provision of Rs. 3 crore has been made in the present. Plans to promote natural farming in Valsad and Dang district For this purpose, farmers will be given Rs. 900 per annum ie Rs. 10,800 assistance for the cost of subsistence of the cow.
